I Am Still The King Of Rap Music In Nigeria – M.I Brags



Multi-talented rapper, Jude Lemfani Abaga, popularly known by his stage name, M.I has established himself as the undisputed king of rap music in Nigeria and he is not ready to relinquish his throne for anything.
M.I In a chat with Vanguard, the ‘Undisputed Champion’ rapper explained why he would always remain the king of rap music in Nigeria. Cardi B points to past ‘limited options’ to explain drugging, robbing men “Rap is definitely my super power.
If I could sing like RnB I might have been called something else. I love singers and great writers. So I think I will remain the King of Rap for now”, he said with confidence. He also explained why afro-pop music culture has been gaining more traction than rap music in Nigeria. “Pop music is not actually a genre but the popular sound of the time.
And yes it’s doing great and has definitely been one of our greatest exports; considered as afro-pop or afro-beats outside Nigeria. It’s easier to find great afro-beats than great rappers so it will definitely be bigger than rap music just based on the amount of content available.”
Kanye West, Kardashian expecting fourth child via surrogate Though he admitted that rap music is not as popular as it should, he claimed it is one of the top five most lucrative genres of music. “Statistics actually show that rap is in the top 5 most lucrative or selling genres. So it’s not as bad as you would think. The hip-hop community is very loyal and committed”, he said.
