Popular Yoruba actor, Fasasi ‘Dagunro’ Olabankewin is dead

The CEO of Best Of Nollywood, Seun Oloketuyi, announced the passing away of Dagunro on social media.

Oloketuyi said Osogbo born actor died on Thursday, June 13, 2019, in Osogbo, Osun State. Dagunro is famous for playing traditional roles in several Yoruba epic movies.

Dagunro’s death makes it the seventh among members of the Association of National Theatre Arts Practitioners and 16th in Nollywood as an industry.

Fasasi ‘Dagunro’ Olabankewin is famous for playing the role of a traditionalist in Yoruba movies. Dagunro has two sons, who are also theatre arts practitioners. They are Kazeem Iyanda Olabankewin and Jamiu Olabankewin.
